Back at it!
August 29th, 2011, posted in UncategorizedIt’s been a busy few weeks for the guys in the group. Singing kind of slowed down a little but everything else stepped up a notch. Now its time to get back in the routine of singing. We hope that you all can keep us all and the things in our lives in your prayers. We believe that in all things we do, God needs to be the center of it. Especially in doing his work. Prayers always help and we can certainly feel them when we stand to sing. We hope to see you at some of our upcoming singings but if not, keep in touch with us on here or on facebook. We would rather see you at singings though! (HINT) We pray that God Blesses You All!!!

God is Awesome
November 29th, 2010, posted in UncategorizedWe haven’t posted anything lately but there has been some great things happening. We have gone through a streak of great services. God has really blessed us with his spirit. It’s nothing that we do but it’s just the awesome grace and mercy of God. In our last singing, several people came to the altar and one woman was saved! It excites us to be a part of that. Thanks to everyone who prays for and supports our ministry. It not only helps us, it helps to expand the kingdom of God! Most of our thanks goes to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for first of all saving us and also for giving us so many blessing. He’s a Real God and he’s an Awesome God!!

Barabbas
October 4th, 2010, posted in Uncategorized
“But the high priests and elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to demand that Jesus be put to death.” – Mat 27:20Russell has written a beautiful song on the Nails album entitled “I Am Barrabus”. The first verse describes the setting of the release of Barrabus, and condemnation of my Savior. As Locust Ridge sang the words of the song, I could see the crowd screaming for the blood of Jesus while Barrabus stumbled away from the judgement seat a little baffled by what had taken place. These same people that had sentenced Barrabus to death were now asking for his release. It was always God’s plan to provide an everlasting sacrifice for our sins through the cross. I would like to think these events had enough of an impact on his life to cause Barrabus to change his ways and repent for his sins.
Much like Barrabus, my sins had condemed me to die. However, Jesus took my place and paid my sin debt. While I can never be worthy of such a gift, by asking Christ into my heart, and accepting him as my Lord, I have the promise of eternal life. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
“I Am Barrabus” was the inspiration for the drawing. It is my interpretation of how the scene might have looked over 2000 years ago through the eyes of Barrabus after being released. Over the guard’s right shoulder, the high priest calls for the death of Jesus, while Pilate stands helpless, unable to change God’s divine plan.
